Description:
Dan's work is a challenge to us all to step to the plate and be who we truly are, every moment, every day. His most recent work playfully and painfully dances with symbol that is the most powerful icon of his daily life - his wheelchair. He takes us through dark and fanciful landscapes, or more accurately, paintscapes that not only push the boundaries of the medium, but push the boundaries our of willingness to share the ride of an other ... one who's "people" may be amongst the most misunderstood and marginalized on the planet - certainly in this American culture of pretense of perfection.*
